State leader Narendra Modi honoured Telugu legend, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) during Mann Ki Baat.

His child and entertainer Nagarjuna, grandson Naga Chaitanya and his entertainer spouse Sobhita Dhulipala thanked PM Modi for his genuine reverence to ANR, one of the mainstays of Telugu film.
As of late, the Akkineni family observed ANR's centennial year with different occasions.
On December 29, PM Modi recalled Raj Kapoor, Mohammad Rafi, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Tapan Sinha during Mann Ki Baat.
He said, "Raj Kapoor ji acquainted the world with India's delicate power through films. Mohammad Rafi Sahab's otherworldly voice keeps on dazzling the more youthful age even today.
Akkineni Nageswara Rao Garu raised Telugu film, displaying Indian customs and values. Tapan Sinha ji's movies offered new cultural viewpoints while advancing social awareness and public solidarity."
He further added that the characters have been a motivation for the whole entertainment world.
Sharing the clasp of PM Modi's accolade, Nagarjuna said thanks to him for respecting his father in his centenary year.

Akkineni Nageswara Rao, prominently known as ANR, was an entertainer and film maker. In his seven-very long term profession, he was a piece of many movies that slung Telugu film to another high.
A portion of his famous movies incorporate Tenali Ramakrishna, Vipra Narayanan and Bhakta Tukaram among others.
ANR was honored with Padma Vibhushan in 2011.
He was most recently seen in Manam, which likewise featured Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya leading the pack jobs.
